Hello GPCP Families,

We are looking forward to seeing you at Back to School Night tomorrow, Thursday, August 10th at 6:30 pm, at the Grant Park Campus. This is the only mandatory meeting of the school year.

On  Friday, August 11th from 4:00 pm- 5:00 pm your child will have an opportunity to come and visit their classroom at their respective campus.

Please see my August letter that highlights the entire GPCP team including our new staff members year!

For many of our new families, the beginning of the year is very exciting and can also be a lot to process for children and families.  As a school community we have adopted a transitional process called Inserimento. Inserimento is the period at the beginning of a new year that is dedicated to affectionately creating and fortifying a sense of belonging in our school community.  Inserimento is the compassionate "slow rounding into calm" that happens as children and families adjust to daily rhythms, routines and rituals that make up our school culture.  We strongly encourage you to participate in Inserimento.  Your child's educators will provide you with more details.

Please remember, Pre-Pay for Extended Day hours for the month of September all forms and payment are due by 6pm, Friday, August 25th! Extended day forms are available each month at the Communications Bulletin Board at each respective campus and at the top of each newsletter.

As we look forward to the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year, please make sure your child's immunization records and enrollment forms are up to date and in our office. The first day of the new school year is August 14th.

We can't wait to see you and your children soon! Please call or email with any concerns or questions to cabbagetown@gpcp or administrativeassistant@gpcp.org.

Thank you,

Please assist us in making sure your child is ready for the school year by turning in all of the required forms. Per Bright From the Start Regulations, we must receive updated and new Enrollment Forms each year and your child's immunization form must always be up-to-date.  If you are able to print and bring these forms to Back to School Night it is greatly appreciated!  In addition, help your child's year get off to a great start by sending us a headshot for his/her cubbie!  Please email headshots to Melissa at administrativeassistant@gpcp.org.  Lastly, an Emergency Contact Card does not need to be updated each year, but if any of your emergency contact information or pick-up persons for your child has changed, please update.  Only one of these cards is needed per family. If you have any questions, please let us know!

For this week's Sponsor Hightlight, we would like to thank our Mid Level Sponser: Intown Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine

Intown Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine was established in 2006 to provide warm, friendly, and excellent care for the growing population of in-town families. The practice started in a charming Grant Park bungalow, but quickly outgrew the space. In December 2009, Intown Pediatrics relocated to a brand-new, larger space in Glenwood Park, just around the corner from its original location.

Submit eNews items to cabbagetown@gpcp.org.

Our school has an alarm system in each campus. Outside of business hours, our school is secured and the alarm is set. We ask that you do not enter our school after hours, unless you have made arrangements with us and have the alarm code.
