Hello GPCP Families,

As we progress through the start of the school year, there is a strong sense of solidarity among our school community. It warms my heart to see children becoming more acclimated, families building new relationships and educators supporting the children’s learning. I look forward to being together this Thursday for Class Meetings when educators will be sharing the experiences children have been having thus far and discussing class related matters.

Save the Date - Class Meetings: Thursday, September 20th from 7 to 9pm.

Please take a moment to read my September letter.

I am also very excited to welcome a new pastor at St. Paul UMC.  Please read the message from pastor Cassie below and participate in the community survey if possible.

Hello Friends!

I hope that with the school year under way and fall on the horizon that this email finds you all doing well!
I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself.  My name is Rev. Cassie Rapko and as of June 21st, I am the new pastor at St. Paul United Methodist Church.  Upon my arrival at St. Paul I have learned more and more about the fabulous Preschool that shares our Building.  I am grateful for the leadership of the Grant Park Cooperative Preschool director Gabriela Garcia. She does great work in providing fun, learning, and safety to all of the preschool students. I wanted to personally reach out to all of you and not only introduce myself, but also thank you for having your children enrolled in the GPCP.
I am getting to know the Grant Park area and I am exhilarated by the number of children and youth in the area.  It is an exciting time to be in Grant Park! As a part of getting to know the area I wanted to reach out to you, the parents of the GPCP.  We at St. Paul want to learn more about our community and more about the needs and desires of those living in this area. Would you be willing to help us with this?  If so we would you consider participating in a short community assessment survey? The survey even includes an opportunity to win two tickets to the Candlelight Tour of homes that takes place December 8th and 9th.

You can find the survey by clicking on this link

Again, thank you for participating in Camp SPARC and please do not hesitate to reach out if you need anything.
God Bless,
Rev. Cassie Rapko

Big thanks to the parents who participated in Saturday’s workday. We have fresh mulch at both playgrounds, fresh paint at CT’s foyer and GP’s playhouse and lots of repaired items.
