School Age Summer Camp 2018

Welcome to GPCP School Age Summer Camp Session VI!

Cabbagetown and the Painted Stories

We are at our final two weeks of school age camp. The time has surely flown by. Join us next week in our journey to Cabbagetown where we will explore, reimagine, and interpret the stories of the town through its iconic murals and street art. Continuing our exploration with the languages of painting, photography, mapping, music and storytelling, we will interpret the sites and sounds of Cabbagetown as we try to decipher the details of its colorful stories. Please remember that the last week of school age camp ends on July 27th! More details of week VI included in our newsletter.

We hope that your child has enjoyed spending the summer so far with us!! Please be on the look out for our next summer camp themes in late February/early March.

Candace Dupree is GPCP’s Summer Camp Coordinator summercamp@gpcp.org. Educators from both campuses will be teaching during the summer camps.

A few reminders:

-Please apply sunscreen and bug spray to your child before coming to school and we will re-apply halfway through the day with school purchased sunscreen and bug spray for the children attending extended day.

-Please make sure GPCP has your child's current immunization records and all emergency contact information. Immunization records can be faxed to 404-525-3578.

All children must have enrollment forms and emergency contact card on file at the GPCP camp location. Please print the paperwork here and bring the forms with you on the first day of camp You can also find these forms on the Summer Camp page attached on the right side of the page. If you are unable to print ahead of time, we will have the forms available for you, but please allow extra time at drop-off to complete them.  New families will also need a few more minutes to set up a profile on the computer for whoever is dropping off and picking up your child.

Thank you for your participation in GPCP summer camps!
